Eight LATAM countries were evaluated on 10 criteria; Guatemala was rated for the first time this year.
Guatemala: This is the first year we have rated Guatemala. The country’s four lowest ratings (Fair) are government support, political and economic environment, global/legal maturity, and data/IP security and privacy. Despite such critical areas of weakness, the country has nevertheless made positive inroads as a global delivery destination with competitive labor rates for BPO and contact centers. Guatemala is an untapped country that is steadily gaining the attention of global companies looking for labor cost benefits and an untapped labor supply.
